| چکیده | ||
| غرض از مقالة حاضر، بررسی درونمایة کلّی دیوان غربی- شرقی گوته است که به تصریح شخص شاعر، پیشبرد صلح جهانی و تفاهم میان ملّتها را بر سرلوح خود دارد. این بررسی از حیث محتوا و تنها بر اساس شعرهای دفتر رنج نامة این دیوان انجام میگیرد که محور اشعار آن به طور ویژه، نقد اجتماعی است. زیرا این دفتر بیش از همه به سستیهای اخلاق عامّه و نقش نهضت روشنگری در راه برقراری جامعهای خالی از پیشداوریهای ملّی - عقیدتی و به دور از ملّتگرایی افراطی میپردازد. امّا از همین چشم انداز محتوایی هم این مقاله در ضمن میکوشد معلوم کند چرا شعر سرآغاز این دفتر، در سطحِ کلام و سبکِ بیان، با دیگر اشعار آن تفاوت دارد. | ||

| The purpose of this article is to examine the general theme of the Western-Eastern Divan of Goethe, which, according to the poet, is the promotion of world peace and understanding among nations. This review is carried out in terms of content and based on the poems of the ranjname, in which poems are particularly social criticism. For this office is most concerned with the frailties of morality and the role of the Enlightenment in establishing a society free from nationalistic prejudices and away from extreme nationalism. But from this contextual point of view, this article also tries to explain why the beginning poem of this notebook differs from other poems in terms of speech and style of expression. | ||
